Many associate Maple Syrup with the turning of fall leaves but, did you know that the sweet sap is harvested in the early spring and that Western New York is famous for its award winning Maple Syrup. As soon as the spring air begins to warm the harvesting of sap begins and local area producers open their Sugarhouses so that visitors can experience how it’s made. Make sure to stop by some of the area Maple farms to enjoy the sweet taste of Spring!
